Production engineer (SEPA and DSN regulatory processing)
Eovi-mcd — A major French mutual insurance group
Two successive regulatory deadlines, each prepared in the months leading up to it: SEPA credit transfer and direct debit on 1 February 2014, and the nominative social declaration in January 2017.
For SEPA, six to eight months of integration and testing around a new banking module of the software package, Maya, which brings together banking details and produces transfers and direct debits. The full choreography was put in place with the project manager: CFT transfers, batch jobs, SSH transfers, generation and checking of XML files, and dummy account sets for acceptance testing. The breakdown was by entity — the information system was unified after the merger, but financial processing still differed from one sub-entity to another.
For the DSN, the same chain, held end to end from the material supplied by the project managers and under the operations manager's oversight: scripts, databases, loading, acceptance testing, production rollout.
Achievements
- 2 batch launchers reworked one by one
Correcting the launchers that were not logging
The portal's data gaps always came back on the same jobs: the launchers concerned did not carry the commands recording start and end times.
Flow choreography of the banking module
CFT transfers, batch jobs, SSH transfers, generation and checking of XML files, around the package's banking module. Dummy account sets built for acceptance testing.
Single operations menu
Every step of the runbook triggered by a keystroke: flow reception and consolidation, until then launched transfer by transfer and then concatenated and moved by hand; generation of the morning reports; evening scheduling.
Annual disaster recovery exercise
The systems team brought the servers back up at the hosting provider in Paris from the off-site tapes; operations launched the jobs remotely and checked that the whole ran.
