Running the responsible-IT programme of a postal operator committed to a 2030 strategy carrying strong environmental commitments. The programme had begun before this engagement with an assessment of the website carried out by predecessors, followed by the creation of a tailored eco-design framework, training for the teams, a benchmark of tools applicable to that framework, and finally the extension and improvement of the training.
The scope includes certain digital banking services attached to the group’s banking activities: the work packages took on the constraints of that banking environment. The approach put in place — eco-design framework, training and tools — transformed the deployment process for digital services and extends to all development projects.
A dual role throughout: project manager and responsible-IT technical consultant. Four roles for three people — this dual hat, a functional consultant and a technical architect, all specialised in responsible IT.
Scope of management: a capacity plan built on the approved commercial proposals, effort tracking on a best-efforts basis, fortnightly reporting to the client.
